It is really unfortunate that those who made the movie gave no credit to Chetan Bhagat (whose five point someone is awesome). I am personally a big fan of Chetan's writing.

Those who liked the movie should try reading five point someone. The movie is nothing compared to the book.

This movie is a slap to the failed society and the failed education system of India.

Some of you might want to show this to a Canadians here locally, I am pretty sure they won't feel emotional as you (immigrants who moved here) and you know the reason very well. Period.

Sorry, do not really want to hijack this thread. However, his name was there in the closing credits. It's amusing that when Chetan already signed the contract and received his due money then it really shouldn't matter to him whether his name appeared in the opening or closing credits(nowhere mentioned in the contract). Before signing the contract, he should've made it clear with the makers. Now, he has no reason to complain.

Also, when the movie is a blockbuster, Mr. Chetan has come out of the closet. See who's talking. I am completely with the makers on this one. We shouldn't really see only the one side of the coin. It's all about the money honey!

I am in no-way condoning the verbal spat by VVC during the press conference. However, my point is very clear. Had the movie not a big big big hit, the issue wouldn't have been arisen. Too bad, Chetan didn't foresee it and settled for only 10,00,000 Rs. (10 Lacs). Unfortunately, he doesn't have anyone to blame but only to his luck and the lack of foresightedness while signing the contract.

Good one. Shows how our educational system works, to some extent. I can relate to the Tamil guy who wanted to distract others from studying. I had few guys in the hostel who were like that. The baby delivery scene was dragged too long. Overall a must watch.

Chetan Bhagat turned out to be an idiot. He thought that movie would never work. TV channels showed the contract he signed for Rs. 10 llakhs. Now the movie has grossed Rs. 250 crores globally.

I don't think Chetan Bhagat is Idiot

I have all his Novels. He is Intelligent writer

3 Idiots are almost 70 % copied from 'Five Point Someone'

Anyway this controversy was purposely & well planned
created by Chetan, Amir Khan, Raju Hirani & Vidu Vinod Chopra

I am following this from the time film was about to released.

One can easily see, no one is losing in this controversy

Film become BIG HIT, Chetan Bhagat's book FPS is selling like hot cake as well as his new book '2 States The Story of my Marriage'

Its all master mind AMIR KHAN

Anyway I really enjoyed movie & Raju Hirani is fantastic director
