In Canada you cannot discriminate in hiring practices regardless of physical strength requirements of a position. Is this the employer's requirement or your own judgement?
There are many women I know who do heavy jobs and men who are cashiers.
I am editing my post because I have looked up the NOC code for cooks and it is considered a light occupation or with average lifting requirements of 22 lbs or less. Just FYI.

Please ... Gopalpai is doing a good job by providing the info which may be very useful to some. GP needs to be appreciated.
We are not dicsussing Labour Laws here. If employer violates, it is his or her problem.
Such jobs are available everywhere in GTA for those who are willing. I dont think people looking for low wage jobs will be anyway looking in CD charcha. Just my opinion.

My dear friends some posts/threads are better without your expert comments. I am just posting job opportunities. Instead of commenting, you all also start posting job opportunities on the forum. I am not asking anybody to comment/ appreciate or give opinion for such thread.
Those who are in need of job will be benefiting from such thread. I feel such threads on the forum are better left alone.
If such jobs are available all over GTA then please start posting details on the forum like mobile no and requirements.

when you post something on a *discussion* forum, it is open for discussion. I am simply bringing to your awareness that in Canada, it is illegal to discriminate in hiring practices. Advertising in writing on a public forum that anyone can read is perpetuating that discrimination.
If you wish to help people, you can also advocate for them by actively discouraging employers from discriminatory hiring practices.
Finally, please continue posting job opportunities as it is a resource for the CD community.
