Need help from music buffs...

Which are the famous Diwali songs (filmy or non filmy)?
Any place where I can download them?

We have an upcoming Diwali dinner and need some songs to play in the background.

Strangely, I cannot recall any famous diwali songs..

IIRC, for Diwali you are stuck with the DD-Chitrahaar-fav "Dipawali manayein suhaani".

Bollywood has many songs on Holi or other festivals, but somehow draws blank when it comes to Diwali - maybe too much Punjabi/Bengali directors/producers and not enough Gujaratis

Try searching for songs on youtube

I recall KL Saigal's .... 'Diya jalayo ... diya jalayo ... jagmag jagmag diya jalayo '

as there is guj new year following day u can play some new year songs also. and its nt hard to find new year songs from bollywood.
