Hello Everyone,

We applied for canadian immigration in Dec, 07 under my wife's name through a consultant. However after some time we got to know that this consultant was not efficient in handling immigration cases as lot of their clients got rejections.

So now we referrred to immigration lawyer he suggested me to get CAIPS for our case to see the status of our case. So now we got the CAIPS and it says only 10 points have been granted for age and on website the status of our file says "in process", which means there is no points given for experience and other factors like my education, her familiy in canada etc. I was referring to CIC website and it says that in process means :"Visa Office - Eligibility Review Complete ; The review of the application and supporting documents has been completed at the visa office. A letter with additional information has been mailed"

So does it mean that they did not find any problem in our case and if so then why we have only 10 points granted to us?

We are really concerned as our new consultant has advised to apply for a new case under my name and has suggested to withdraw this case.
I am just concerned that why CIC gave 10 points to my wife's file? we have spoken to our previous consultants regarding what all they filed and they were very confused about it....I want to know isn't there a way to find out that what all papers were filed when our case was sent to CIC as we gave all our educational, personal and experience letters to them and on the basis of which we should easily get 80 points?

please advise, i really need guidance as withdrawing this case will mean losing on almost 2.5 years for which I have waited:(

and thanks so much for your continous support..

I know that one can get maximum 10 points for age, however we have submitted the documents for experience, ielts, and family in canada to our consultant, how can I cross check that what has been submitted to CIC????
we have got the CAIPS they do not tell us that what has been submitted to CIC.

Don't understand when you say that the consultant is confused, not sure and giving excuses. Even if the copy of the application was not given to you, it should be there in your case file with the consultant.
Good luck.
