Hello Everyone, I have been getting help from this website for which i really wanna thank everyone involove:) and I am stuck with another small problem, I just want to cross verify what my consultant has suggested!

I read on CHC followinng were the criterion for calculating point for study:

Factor 2: Education (maximum 25 points)

You have not completed secondary school (also called high school). 0

You have completed secondary school (or an educational credential of at least one year) and at least 12 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies. 5

You have completed a one-year post-secondary program and at least 13 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies. 10

You have completed a two-year post-secondary program and at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies. 15

You have completed a three-year post-secondary program and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies. 20

You have completed a three-year university program and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies. 20

You have completed a Master’s or Ph.D. and at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies. 25

I complete my secondary education in 1999 and did my three years bachelors degree from Delhi University which got over in 2005 as due to some personal reasons i could not appear for exams for two consecutive years and it got stretched for five years instead of three years. After my secondary eduction I also did a 2 year diploma course from a private institue in Networking.

I am really confused so as to which Category I will fit in, my consultant told me that correspondence is considered as regular only, so can you confirm if thats true??? and would it still be 15 years of education or it will be till my secondary only...also please consider i completed my university degree in 5 years instead of three years as due to some medical and personal reasons i could not appear for examinations for two consecutive years???

My consultant has suggested that I get 20 points in study since I have done a bachelors degree along with two year diploma from a private institute, can you please confirm if thats correct as I am not very convinced witht he answer:(.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR ADVISE, THIS WILL REALLY HELP ME IN FILING MY PAPERS FOR CANADIAN IMMIGRATION WITH ABSOLUTE CLARITY...

The diploma from private institute will not count. For post secondary education
they will calculate 15 yrs of study and award you 20 points provided you earned this degree from an accredited university.
