hi
I have applied for work permit visa and after few days i have applied for PR along with my spouse and kids. Happily i got the work permit visa and moved to canada. My spouse and kids remain in india. The day i left for canada, very next day my spouse had received a letter from embassy asking for medicals and submission of passport. In this letter they marked two points that-
1) medical examinations to be done
2) complete details of foreign travels made in past.
Also it is written in the very next paragraph of the letter to mail original passports to them after medicals, although it was not ticked.
Is this mean that we have to submitt passports immediately after medicals or they will request for submission seperatly. I had my medicals already prior to the getting the wp. Now im bit confussed that how should i submitt my passport. can i courier it to the embassy directly or i can send it to my spouse so that she can submitt all the passports along with mine. as im also worried at the same time that it can be misplaced by sending it by courier.
thanks..

My visa catagory shows as W1 as im on PNP.
I have already applied for PR under pnp category prior to comming to Canada as pnp also issued me work permit letter due to the requirement of my employer. currently i am in canada but now my family received the letter from CHC for medical for all of us for PR the letter shows tick mark for medical and for travel history but also in higlighted says to submit our passport for PR visa stamping in next paragraph. My medical was done last month before I got my W-1 work permit visa.

Your wife and kids first complete their Medicals.
Fill all of the required forms, such as the foreign travels etc., see what all it needs. Also see if it needs as Police Clearance too. There is a region specific form (and I think it is the same as the foreign travel) please check with them by e-mail. Send all of the forms and the Passports to them for stamping, AFTER the Medicals.
Keep a COPY of the passport for arranging the travels etc., and talk to a travel agent there who is friendly and will be able to get you seats in a hurry. He will ask for the Passport number etc.,
When the Passports get stamped and your wife and kids get them back they all can travel. You hang onto your Passport, do not send it to any place.
Now go and see an Immigrant Help center agent there close by. (I think you are in Alberta.)
Also call the CIC call center and find out more about the W1 Visa. It is a work permit and needs renewal. There is a date in you passport see the date also.
You cannot keep us informed about with half cooked details and expect us to provide you with answers that are favourable to you. You are 10 000 miles away from the request letter and you do not know if they have ticked the box or highlighted the request for the Passports. As a PNP Immigrant, you don't tell us if you are an Employer sponsored or Family Sponsored or a Government Sponsored farm worker? To get proper answers to your questions, you will have to meet with a Immigrant Help Center REP and produce all of the documents in your possession and seek proper guidance. They will tell you exactly what you have there in your Passport. Also you know it too.
All the avenues are explained to you here and also the proper location for availing the Help.
Hope this helps you a little.
Freddie.
