Understandability and Agreement are two different things, my friend. It is not necessary that whatever you say, I agree with that because I understand that? and also if you agree with something does not mean that you always understand!! If there were only BLs, greycells, MIs then the whole purpose of this web site would have been defeated.
But I really appreciate that you are hopeful! One must be hopeful, afterall 'UMEED PE SANSAR HAI' (English translation: 'HOPE SUSTAINS LIFE')![]()
That Is another story isnt it? Isnt rhetoric easy ?

Sanjeev the gulf between our thinking (as evident from our posts on the same subject and also following your posts right from the first one) are so large that I felt that it was futile expecting you to understand (agreement was never on the radar). The hope was held out for others who may read. I admit, I may have been wrong in my analysis of your understanding capacity.
I do not even expect BL, grey or MI(to name a few) to agree...I do expect them to understand. Atleast we agree on your last para. Do we understand it? That Is another story isnt it? Isnt rhetoric easy ?

The problem with you is that not only you over estimate yourself BUT you under estimate others too and moreover, instead of a debate or discussion, you fall into the arguements and that too the personal ones.....

Excellent deduction Charlie! Look above to see who got
confrontational/accusational first . To top it you based most of your accusations on your assumptions that I thought that being white/westernised is good and whatever else. I'm sorry I did not fall into the category you assigned me to, but you seriously thought that I would not defend myself?
Anyway I dont think we are helping anyone anymore with this and any other response to your comment would be another exercise in futility.
p.s: I have responded to yout pvt mssg and maybe thats where we should keep our opinions if we really see the need to.

FROM ANOTHER POST TO THE FORUM
Mishtar,
I really like the way you are handling this and I would like to let you know that I have learnt from you how to handle provocation.
What goes around comes around and I admit I have a role to play in what I see as some of the negative energies seeping into Cdesi. So I take reponsibility for my role in how I made some other members feel, alternatively playing the role of provocateur and the provoked. I was not in the most positive of mindframes, the last few days(the perils of being an artist ) and the negativity must have seeped into some of my writings, giveing them more of an edge, making matters worse for those already feeling wronged against. I apologise for the same.
To those who helped me grow and overcome my demons (for the time-being...they always come back )I thank you for being a part the experience. That would be ALL of you without exception.
Peace, Love, Respect & laughter (pass the Bong/chillum

Sanjeev I hope we can get beyond this

I think that RATHI had a right to get a straight answer or proper guidance as she asked a very simple question but which had deep concern within.
Sanjeev, your passion for your opinions is OK but why twist the whole thread
I definitely agree with Jake...
- Since I HAVE migrated to Canada...I think it becomes my top most priority to see that my Kids, who are getting moulded into a new lifestyle get proper moulding. Why would I want to put my Kids in a daycare where the people do not have proper knowledge or proper pronunciations of English?? Especially when the country is English speaking!! I think I would not put them in a daycare where the situation is such even in INDIA!! Why the compromise??
- How are we to know the \"SANSKARS\" of the people who look after our kids, at an initial stage?? It takes time to know someone.
- Definitely I would give first preference to a person who has DEGREES and has the right knowledge to deal with my kids and who can give GREAT INPUTS to my kids!!
- It is people who are not passionate about kids, WHO HAVE NO FORMAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DAYCARE AND BABIES and who look at BABYSITTING only as a source of income, the ones who mess up the kids future .IT IS SCARY...
- I don't see any justification in your statement that since immigrants are given PR and as English was a criteria.... so all are good at it!! That is ludicrous!! I don't even know how to go about countering that, so ...just giving up
also the racial colours completely fade out…. though Jake, I like the idea of turquoise and blue!!…. We can look forward to MARTIAN MIGRANTS pretty soon!!
-These are the formative years and the most important phase of life...so surely I would not want my kid to get SANSKARS from her babysitter!! That is unimaginable...but yes I would look out for a daycare center where the people taking care of my Kid would have the capability of teaching basic human values…after all a major part of the kids time is spent in daycare and later in schools…the INCULCATING of SANSKARS, I would not delegate to anyone…I think it begins from the time the kid is conceived and progresses daily after birth by how we, THE PARENTS, live and behave…BY PRACTISING WHAT WE PREACH and our daily lifestyle and our strength in our beliefs.
Frankly, I believe in EACH ONE FOR HIS OWN ……why criticize anyone’s lifestyle…if a guy wants to run to the loo with a burger in hand let him. If we can learn to teach our children to be like the LOTUS, I don’t think we need to worry where we live. Don’t we have enough conviction in our upbringing of our kids to know that come what may, be it India or Canada or Timbuktu…our kids will always be on the right side…. they may stumble, they may fall, for that is life, but they will also rise from their fall and after every fall they will rise into a better and a stronger person!! I DEFINITELY BELIVE IN MY STRENGTH AS A PARENT.
Rathi – I would find all possible information about the daycare before I would enroll my child in it. Talk around with some other parents in a similar situation. Don’t leave a single stone unturned in finding information as it is a question of your child’s future and enroll only when you are convinced.. A MOTHER ALWAYS KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR HER CHILD SO RELAX AND ENJOY THIS PHASE IN LIFE
