When I sponsored my family members to Canada, I signed a document that is a promise to provide for the essential needs of the sponsored family members for a period of 10 years following landing in Canada. Can my family members apply for social housing within the 10 years period? Is there a negative impact on me if they apply for the social houing within the 10 years sponsorship period? How would it affect if I wish to sponsor someone in future?
