There are many settlement agencies funded by the government to help newcomers settle down and integrate into Canada. Depending on where you are planning to move, find a settlement agency in your neighbourhood and do visit them. The information can be found by visiting : http://www.settlement.org" rel="nofollow">LINK

Welcome to Canada. You are making a challanging move. Be positive and you will be successful

Hi,

I think following can help you ....

1. Try to bring necesssary general medicines with you

2. if you drive and you have driving licence pls bring a letter from respective authority that you do not have any accident casses etc. will help you to get the driving licence easlily.

3. Bring warm cloths even you are coming In May,,, cloths are expensive her.

4. you can carry some food items ( in your luggage only ) not too much to avoid custom.

5. if you are travelling with child then try to carry education transfer certificates etc.

6. Helath record cards for you and your childrens will help a lot.

7, take your mobile phone and lap top as here is Canda its quite expensive.

rest all you can get on internet and when you come around there are lot of Givt organisations who helps to get settle down.

make sure 12 months will be difficult to live , you need around 10,000$ to survive.

Best of luck and warm welcome.

Since I am having a good job over my home country wants to move back, and wann my wife and son will stay here... In such case they will complete their resident permit days but not me... Is there a way I can get renew my PR without meeting the residency rules.. or My wife and son can continue to stay even if I am no longer resident to Canada.

After 3 years of resideny to canda can my wife and son apply for Citizenships.?

Pls guide.

Every member of the family has to meet the residency requirement individually.
In your case, you may stay back in India while your wife and son can be in Canada and meet their residency obligations. Also, as and when your wife is eligible to file her citizenship application(3 years of physical stay in 4 years, preceding the citizenship application), your son can file the apllication simultaneously, if he is younger than 18 years.

If you decide to come back to Canada on a later date and you have lost your PR status, your wife can sponsor you under family class.
