Anybody knows how long it takes to process the OCI application? Do I have to submit my Canadian passport also along with the application forms?
If my application is in process, can I travel to India?

Hello CD's.

Needs advice.......Do i have to submit our Canadian passport now at Brampton VFS ofice for for "U" visa stamp or wait until it shows status recieved at Toronto.

Call VFS no and did not received proper answer from them.

this is online status shows for OCI...

Date Of Acknowledgment 05-DEC-2011

Application Status

Photo/Signature at Mission : Scanned On 08-DEC-2011

Registration Status at Mission : Granted On 29-DEC-2011

Documents Printing Status PRINTED On 29-DEC-2011

OCI No. A1008788 Visa No. U1008788

Dispatched From MOIA (OCI ): NEW DELHI On NOT DISPATCHED

Documents Received at TORONTO NOT YET

Any feedback would be much apereciated.

If new delhi has not despatched the OCI form, then you need not submit passport. You submit passport only when New Delhi despatches it and it is received by Toronto.
