hye friend..i request you all that please donot ignore my message dis time and all of u spare sometime to reply back..i applied for my visa on 9th december.i got the pending letter from the embassy dat its currently veryfyin the informtion provided by me.i thought its better to hve d pending letter den the rejection..i m visitin chc since 2 mnthns..out of 180 or 190 embassy is giving the visas to just 3 or 4 students.dey r very rude dis session..storry not ends here.embassy neither got bak to me nor did it gave any rejection or any sort of response.i was worried as my college was goin to start from 5th of jan.so i faxed the extension letter to embassy as well as i personally visited the high commission t know the status of my application ,but one thng made me so confused dat all d students who got the pending letters from chc were enrolled with kingston college..and now the students total strenght has increased to 68.all of dem r from kingston and got the pending letter...so i asked my frnds in canada to get some info from kingston.and today i called up my pal and i got a news dat kingston along with one more college(austin) hve made a fraud of 5-6 million dollars and one more desi univ was invloved wid dem named as baba fareed univ.and all the sudents from indian ,sri lanka, bangladesh, pakistan and nepal who applied for the kingston r waiting for chc's reply like me?
now guys plz let me know what sld i do?
can i withdraw my case from embassy?
and college would deduct half of d fees paid to dem ???????
and shll i wait for some more time?

U can write to Kingston asking for refund of fees tell the your visa was rejected and they will have to refund the whole fees, They dont refund full fees only if u come to canada and ask for refund, this is the policy in most of the colleges here, but kingston might have its own rules, but dont worry send them a letter and keep bugging them they should pay you.

Many students have been fooled. Not only kingston but there other colleges too. You cant blame the college alone but there are some Desis to be blamed too, The agents, and Some desis here make money out of students future, they dont care if ur life is screwed all they care is their part of the money. The best part is, its not required for any 1 to go through agents, they can apply on their own and get seats in good colleges.

Can I request the forum that we do some thing about this, may be we can get the list of accredited college, and univ or atleast provide link to the sites which lists the accredited colleges???? We can have a Tool bar for students and give a detailed list as to whats to be done when some one is applying for student visa. Not like charcha but standard list where they view the same and ask doubts in the charcha??/ Any suggestions would be great. GG can you put in your comments so that we can do something to the student community who come here with high dreams??? I can write the Article Starting from Admission to visa complete process. Let this not be in Charcha buit as article.

Hey Dude,

Your suggestion is good - and we should definitely think of a collective action. As proposed by you, you should write an article about it which will only help the intending students from India, but also people like us who can give proper guidance to such intending students.

However, I am a bit skeptical about helping people like papneja who simply cannot understand a few things - in his previous postings too he has used similar language which other members, including the most respected and supposedly serious Massood have first tried to correct and then made fun of. Such language not only irritates people who are reading it, but also tells us a lot about the person and his attitude. In this persons case I would not be surprised if he has communicated with the CHC and Kingston in similar fashion (not language necessarily - but attitude) and so he is now in a soup.

I personally feel that for Indian students, Canada is the right place for higher studies and would love to see more and more students coming over and then either settling down here with a greater ease than normal immigrants, or go back to India armed with Indian background and knowledge of western way or working.

I second that ...an article would really be helpful. It is an area that needs to be covered on this site. Especially with the advertising/marketing that Canadian universities and institutions are now doing in India.

About the second part that Chandresh mentioned. I thought I was the only one who could not stand to read Papneja's post's... so I did not comment earlier. If one does not put some effort/time into a post asking for help, I normally do not have the time to reply to the same. I still have not read the first post. Cannot get beyond the first 2 sentences.

On the other hand, atleast we are talking about getting a relevant article up on the site, so its all good I guess!

Learn proper English first and then use slang and short forms (if you really want to).

I personally don't like slang or street language (English included), Choice of words are very important and try avoiding short form of the words, this places is viewed by people from different countries and a slang from one country may not be understood by others.


This is the first step of dealing with different cultures and nationalities, so better learn early then being sorry later.

Coming back to the article, I think it is definitely a good idea as it will help a lot of genuine students to get some first hand knowledge of the education system in Canada.

first of all i am thankfull to you all for giving attention to my post.i am seriously sorry for using slang and all.but thats not my style, its just because i am use to of typing in such a way.but i would definietly try to change it.and dude my visa was not rejected, embassy gave me a pending letter.now i cant even withdraw my case or ask for the refund till it get back to me with some response.atleast it should give me a rejection or an acceptance.but embassy is so dumb and moreover their behaviour is so rude that i cant even explain that.not with students but with aged persons too.i asked my consultants as well as i called up the college authorities too.but as per them they cant refund my amound till i get a rejection from embassy. i am waiting for some response till 9th of december.but its all useless.went to embassy 4-5 times still chc asked me to wait.but the problem is my college has already started and the college has deffered my case for next session.but its of no use it seems , as all the 68 students who applied for kingston college got the same pending letter from the chc.i dont know what intersting embassy has find with kingston applications.kiddin.but its really spoiling our money.i dont know what are they gonna do with kingston students now.rejection acceptance or still pending.still i can just advise everyone here in india that its of no use to contact any of the consultants as they just misguide you and make money out of stundets(like in my case).instead of approaching agents its far better to get all the information from cec or high commission website.and the best thing i can suggest is please please please visit canadiandesi.ca if they need the best suggestion in any matter ie-immigration or student visa and visitor too.because its the best site i have ever seen in my life.and moreover its member are just amazing and so helpful.

As you mentioned, you have the pending letter along with 63 other students from the same college, i think it would be better idea if you also try in some other universties in the mean time (that will save you some time, in case something unfortunate happens).

If you can get old of some other students then may be you can all jointly write a letter and get as many signatures as possible and fax it to CHC and ask them the reason for such delay.

Its really very unfortunate that such kind of incidents are happening where the future of students is jeopardized for money.
