There is no connection of having a PR status in Canada and working in the US.
You can certainly have the H1 visa and work in the US irrespective of your citizenship and PR status. The process starts with the US employer (who is willing to sponsor you for H1) offering you a job.

So there will be no problem (legally) if I get usa H1..work here..then apply for Canada PR??

Well, this question was okay - newcomers are unaware of US/Can visa issues. But I was really frustrated this morning when someone posted question regarding the US/Can visitor's visa and told the forum that he inquired about the US/Can visa requirements in Indian and British consulate!!
