Hi,
I am landing at Toronto in Mid June,which is the best and affordable area to settle in toronto.
Are there any organisation which provide accomodation and help immigrants immeidately after landing .
Pls assist.

Welcome to Canada!

There are community services almost every town my wife used to go at;

Toronto is little expensive, if you are working there than ok to stay there, but if you have a kids in school, better to stay out of downtown. I am living in Brampton it is nice community. Canada is nice country to live so you can select any town.

Parth,Thanks for the info..

Can we go to this organsiation direclty from the airport,will they provide us place to stay or is it bettter to look for a hotel till we get a apartment on rent.

What are rents in Brampton...

Dear Rajesh

I think they will not provide place to stay, they may provide some information about hotel/motel.

Hotels are expensive, better to Google for Motel they have weekly rate or paying guest is the best option or basement apartment for couple of month.

Whats the rent of a apartment in Brampton.

Ideally since GTA is huge your residence should be near your office .

Why don't you stay for a month at a guest house (mentioned elsewhere on this site) and then depending on your preferences lease an apartment accordingly.

Fido,

We are planning to stay in a guest house in North york (Don Mills - Sheppard area) for a week or two during Aug till we find a suitable apartment / Condo.

You recommended Barry Guest house in North York. But the Link you provided is not opening and I could not find it through Google search also.

Could you provide their ( or any other good guest house) website address / Tel contact no.?
