In most cases, it will depend on what passport you are planning to use for travel.

As a Canadian PR you can visit Switzerland with out visa.
All other major European countries not giving any preferene to Canadian Permanent residence, visa required to enter.

With my family I visited Switzerland in 2005 with out visa a Canadian PRs.

Netherlands provides a visa on landing if a Canadian PR has an outward journey confirmed ticket after 7 hours of more at the time of applying for visa at the airport immigration counter.

Canadian PR can also travel Mexico without visa
