Hi,
I am bit worried, beocz I have sent my passports in the month of Sep.2006, after medicals done in Sep.2006.
After long waiting I have received RPRF request in the Month of Nov.2006. which I have sent of 22nd Nov. After sending RPRF we were expecting our passports vey soon, but till t'day there is no response from "CHC" Delhi. Even they have given the reply of my emails that my case is under background check.
Can anybody tell me, is this the normal ? or do we have to worry about the things. ....

hi friend it took me 3 weeks from the time i sent my passport to Buffalo office for PR. I used to contact them (very rarely) via email and they are wonderful people, they do reply me back about the status of my application. Just send them a friendly email and hope they will reply u back so that u will be a bit in peace of mind. good luck

Thanks for encouraging reply, but it's 5 months , and I have already email and got reply that it's under BG check.

HI Osho .... i got my passport after 8 months !!!!!so this kind of delay is there .... But do follow up with them regularly as sometimes it helps. Even though they dont encourage it , go to the embassy with your documnets & you can ask at the gate. Sometimes they allow you to get intouch with your case officer.

I had also paid RPRF and completed my medicals 3 months before i sent my passports for stamping. For me, I was in delhi & i had applied from delhi , so i went to the embassy & spoke at the gate about the delay. The lady at the counter was good enough to speak to my case officer & he called me in . There had been a delay from their end .... long story...... but they DID allow me to meet the case officer in person. So incase you are near to the embassy ... give it a shot .... might work.
