Hello,
I got a parking ticket for parking on the street for parking on a steet within 9 meter of intersection. I was not aware of this and i know I can not escape this just i was ignorant about it..but is there any way i can save myself from this..how do i go about this..your insight will be appreciated

Ask for a hearing, and tell the judge, it was an emergency, that you had to rush to pick-up your child or pick-up some medicines etc. If you give the excuse of picking-up your child, keep a picture of your family in your wallet, he/she ask you for that. Chances are the fine may be squashed or reduced.
A friend of mine did that and got his fine reduced.

The rules are in driver's handbook that you study to get your G1.
You are not supposed to park within
3 m fire hydrant
6 m public entrances
9 m intersections
15 m intersections controlled by traffic lights.
AFAIK, parking tickets do not affect insurance.

Just pay the fine and get over it brother, whats the big deal. take it as a lesson to be careful next time.
I work downtown, there have been moments when I knew I am parking illegally and would get a ticket...but the circumstances.....I honestly don't think its much of a topic to debate.
Moreover, you think going to the courts to fight a 30$ parking ticket is worth it? I wouldn't do it....you would be wasting half of your day to save 30 bucks...do the math.
