Converting currency - CAD TO Indian Rupees..

Can someone suggest any place where I can do that in Scarborough..

It is a bit urgent as I have to carry that wz me.

Its is very hard to get Indian currency in Canada except through private individuals.
At any airport you land (b'lore, COimbatore, Chennai), they will give you very good rates for cdn. dollar.
Other option is to go to money agents in your area (near kennedy sub way stn. - A sri Lankan) who will arrange to deliver Rupee money in TN in a day forCcdn. dollar given. Another location is Kavery supermarket and Hwy10-Dundas st in Mississauga. These people also give very good rates.
I have around Rs.10,000 with me. You can contact me in case of super emergency.

If you have somebody reliable in India, transfer money thro' Western Union to India. Your relative can receive money in Indian rupees in cheque/cash almost instantly. Once you reach India, you can get money from your relative.

I just need around 4000 rupees as I may need for excess baggage ( domestic travel , taxi to home in Chennai etc )

Pls advs if this is workable.

It is better for you to change money once you land at the intl. terminal. It is no big deal. I live in Etobicoke and I canot come to your place. Maybe you can arrange to pick it up from my place.
Frankly, If i were you, I would exchange at the intl. airport when i land. The rate maynot be that good but in an emergency I would do that.
