Its been one year now, What was your final decision ? So many fellow CDs contributed through their viewpoints last year to help you in decision making they deserve to know the outcome, did you come ? How many months did you stay? and more importantly which time in the year did you come ?

You have all that money; my advice do not come here for business, not even for a holiday
India is on the move...look around the major airports of the world, most people travelling and having fun are Indians who reside in India not Indocanadians). Invest more in India and enjoy your life. To be honest, Most of us here would love to have a life like yours, staying in India.
As you mention:
Social Circles: (Nobody has time for you here it is you and your family to fend for yourselves)
Identity in city (that is power, you are a nobody here; silent racism here; everybody is jealous of each other, your indian accent is laughed upon, you become a joker here for first few years, look at the tv ads with indian buffoons)
5 star health clubs (public gyms here which are full of labourers and immigrants, they live in a different world they think only about work and dollars, no other life)
Sizeable properties (forget about that here, you will be in a wood house with the heater on, breathing the heated air, no going out in winter keep on staring at the tv or freeze outside. Vancouver is constantly raining. For last 30 days I have not seen the sun or the blue skies here in vancouver, always grey and dark)
Full time house maid (you will be taking out the garbage weekly whatever the weather come snow rain etc; you will be shovelling the snow off the sidewalk. Talking about Full time house maid LOL!)
10 days of partying monthly (are you joking, a can of beer costs $3 here you have so many bills, partying is the first thing you cut and avoid here. people who party are frowned upon here)
Doing chores such as cleaning, renovating, gardening, carwashing, shopping these are the ideas of fun and party...
Diwali, Holi, Navratri and other functions just pass by...no fun, people work here on those days
You will cry and miss the family, friends and relatives you have in India. All the jokes and fun you had with them will be missed sooo much.
Indian tv channels, bollywood movies, music, cricket will all become a distant past...no cricket! it is ice hockey here mate, or nothing else!
Guys guys, please give him the facts! Tamilkuravan, where are you? please comment...advise him correctly.
As Vandematram correctly states; this is HARAKIRI...Boy oh boy!

thanks tourist and all,
i fully agree with you , but things are changing here in india also.
for example take the case of traffic, it is very dangerous to drive, even if you are hit by someone , they instead of saying sorry , tell you all about their relatives and their powers. things are been done to improve the infrastructure, but the pace of it is very slow.
if by bad luck you get into any judicial problem, then only god can save you. corruption is present at all the levels , right from a peon to high level.
doing bussiness in india is also not very easy these days, one has to report to several govt. departments before starting and to keep it running, that means under the table money.
these days shortage of labour is felt in almost all industries, due to which household help is getting expensive day by day.
i am lucky that i have resources to migrate to other country and that is why i asked about opinions. i want to be careful and is confused like others immigrants.
i know grass is always greener at other side but i dont know why i feel that all this will lead to what it is happening in egypt. even if that is my wildest dream i am sure situation is going to get worse in future and there fore i want to try (if possible) to get my family to a safe place.
thanks for your reply and suggestions.
