I am posting here for the first time. I have found this forum very useful and i really appreciate everyones time and effort. I have a couple of questions related to Working in Detroit and living in Windsor.
(1) I plan to live in windsor and work in Detorit. I have a car that i have leased and i dont want to get it registered in Ontario because of many obvious reasons. ( RIV, Insurance , etc.) . I would want to know that is there any issues if i commute everyday from windsor to Detorit and back, in my car which is registered in US .
(2) I have been going across the border all the weekends and i know that the questions they ask is where do i stay, and purpose of my visit, if i tell them that i live in Windsor, would i have to give up my US driving license and get a canadian one?
(3) If there is no other way than getting the car registered in ontairo, then how can i do that for a car that is leased in US. Because one of the things that they need is the Title of the car.
