We got our passport request letter today. Here is our timeline:


Application mailed: 10 Aug
Application received: 14 Aug
Processing Started: 25 Sep
Application sent to Delhi: 25 Sep
Delhi received application: 4 Oct
Passport Request: 16 Oct
VISA Stamped: ??

We waill mail the passport tomorrow, hopefully we should get it back in 1-2 months.

I got Approval letter and my application is in newdelhi. when should i pay right of per. res. Fee.

Hi 'rkapadia', you can pay your PR fee anytime. I don't think you should wait for them to ask you for the one. Now if you have a file no., and to the best of my knowledge, you can pay it as soon as possible.

You can also talk to the PR call centre in Canada and they will confirm it for you. Here's their no. 1888-242-2100

its better if u pay RPRF at once during sponsorship application
if u dont pay that time then ND look for the that fees at end of the process when they issue visa and it put delay for aprox 4 to 8 weeks cuz first they have to ask CPC-M for the fee and CPC-M contact u for the fee and then u have to mail them the receipt which will slow down process for sure

if u havent paid it yet pay it online now then mail the receipt (copy-2 for $490) to the CPC-Mississauga and CPC-M will update ND regarding the fee. by the time they ask for Passport request ur RPRF fee information will be updated at ND office
i guess that wont cause delay regarding RPRF

Decision Letter Recd : May 23,2007 (Case Approved and sent to Delhi)
Started processing PR application May31,2007 (Checked on Net on June 3)

Still waiting to hear new developments and will let you know as soon as something happens..
