You go to Online services on http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK and then go to E-CAS. Before you go to E-cas check for processing times. There they will let you know the approximate time you receive a response from CIC, Missisauga depending on the date you applied your sponsorship application.

In E-CAS,
either you type your Receipt 5401 number(its on your pay receipt, if you paid your fees online) it will like this (R000000000)
or
Your client ID on you PR card (it is like this: 0000-0000).

Most probably in two weeks you will see something in your E-CAS.

Hi Guys,

I applied for my Wife's ponsorship in the 1st Week of March. My application was returned on April 13th with the reason that i need to write the name and date of birth of my wife on one of the photographs. I submitted the application again on 20th April and i recieved a letter on May 3rd that my application has been approved and the File has been sent to New Delhi.

The decision was made on 27th of April and i see that on ecas the immigration status is Not Available. How Long will it take for the ecas to show that the processing has been started in New Delhi and what are the average timeline now to get the VISA stamped.

We started processing your application on April 13, 2006.

We returned your application with a letter on April 13, 2006. You may re-apply or resubmit your application when the information requested is provided.

It seems that you got visit visa and applied for PR for your wife as well.
Can you plz tell me the posibility of getting visit visa if already applied
for PR ? Is it wise to disclose abt the PR application while applying for
the visit visa ? Otherwise how did you manage it ?
Can I apply for my wife's PR while she is on visit in Canada ?
I am planning to apply for my wife soon but I want to bring her quickly.

I am guessing ( based on messages posted on CD) Delhi consulate will start processing the application two to twoand half weeks after the date posted of your E-CAS. So in your case you might see something in 3rd or 4th week of April. Whole process might take two to 2 1/2 months after your sponsorship approval.

Did you receive your letter of sponsorshipapproval from CIC, Mississauga, If yes, hown many days after you have seen "Decision made" on your E-CAS

I recieved the letter 5 days after i saw decision made on the ECAS. So it was updated on the Website immediately.

Now how does the New Delhi office updates it is still to be seen. On an average how much time does it take to process in INDIA and Also is it adviseable to apply for a visit Visa meanwhile.

I saw Decision made o monday on my E-CAS. I am hoping to receive letter sometime early next week. I think it take 2 to 2 1/2 months at New Delhi consulate. I am not sure about visitor visa. You are so close getting all the stuff done so why now. If I were you, I would wait..
