I mean there is something out there called "massage therapy" and holistic services often include reiki and accupressure etc.

you are wrong.
I know for sure that this exists in Vaughan which is north of Toronto. Recently the police caught people being offered the services of prostitution in the guise of massages.
As Sankaracharya suggests, this problem must exist along major truck routes from Canada into the USA possibly on the Canadian side due to the lax laws on the Canadian side of the border. I have heard from sri lankan labourers while i was working in factories that Truck drivers use these services often.

Do a search on google with the words 'India' and 'Escorts'. You'll be surprised at the results. In the past there have been articles in the major Indian dailies about all this going on 'in the open' in India.
Within the GTA there were tons of these parlours. Recently the authorities have cracked down on them as well there has been some kind of law passed regarding operating of genuine massage parlours. That has reduced the fake parlours to a great extent, or probably they have other ways of doing there business.
