I am reading so much about the families being deported, who were living illegaly in canada, most of them came here on visitor or refuge visa. so what are ur opinions on it?
I think that a country should amend its law strictly to anyone who is illegal here, otherwise more illegal immigrants will arive. and it was their decision to come here and live here, even by knowing that it is illegal. now if their childrens have grown up or want to live here, it is their head ache...... they should have thought about it b4 staying illegaly here. and should have come in the right manner by filling immigration or should have thought bout some other way out.
they people are not only taking our chances in jobs but also getting benefit from our the taxes payed by legal immigrants. I saw a desi from pakistan fighting with his employer, the reason being is he got fired as he was not willing to work on low pay scale. and that boy told me on asking that the employer is going to keep a illegal immigrant on low payscale, and save his bucks. just to tell u, that guy was working in a computer store.
so I think it is right move to deport those peoples.

If you ask me, Government should collect very heavy fine from employers as they are the people who benefit by exploiting illegal immigrants. Also illegal innigrants should be given option to legalize their status by paying hefty fine over a period of time and money so collected should be utilized by offering reward to any legal immigrant who is prepared to renounce his citizenship and wish to go back. (I will be first one to accept such an offer and I am sure there are many more CDs who share my views). Such a scheme will work to every one's advantage. Canada wiil be able to retain blue collar workers whose skill are needed desperately and will help legal immigrants who were hood winked and cheated to go back and regain their pride and status.

What you say is 100% true. If you ask the aborigianls, then they will say that "Gora's" are wrongfully occupying the land. If you ask "Gora's" they will say that immigrants are not needed in Canada. If you ask an immigrant, he will say that an illegal immigrant is taking away his oppertunities and so the list goes on.
What would you say to people who are from a refugee land, enter Canada illegally and then make their status legal? Do you want to deport them also?
Most illegal immigrants perform jobs that Others hesitate to do. Illegal immigrants are nannies, work in shops, work in the building industry and in hard work service industry like cleaning, room keeping, Gas stations,odd jobs etc...
Whether illegal immigrants should be deported is a question worth being put forward to CD members.
America is expected to have 11 million illegals (33% of the population of Canada).

guys I think if this time we take it leanaitly and allow those illegal people to become legal, then there will be more rush of such illegal immigrants. and the new one too think that they will become legal on day, so will keep on staying here, and population of them will increase day by day. In the end we and the just we people are going to suffer. So I think, like we had obeyed the laws and make our entry to canada, they too should have obeyed the laws.
and the soulition could be, the govt of canada allows them to legally come to canda after deporting. this way they will not only get filtered by the system but also get registered for payment of taxes. afcourse atleast I don't want to share my taxes with them......

Duncan, You are a very shallow person and seem to have very purfunctory understanding of how your tax money is used or better misused. These illegal immigrants are not burdening our system. They are neither eligible for OHIP nor employment benefits. They work their asses off for full day and get survival wages from these racist Gora employers. So do not cry about your share of taxes. Canadian politicians are equally, if not more, corrupt compared to Indian politicians. Only difference is that they are sophisticated and hence smarter to cover their tracks.
Just ask any Indian and they will tell you how difficult it is for them to get VISA. How these illegal immigrants come here in the first place? When they come to Canada, they come with Tourist Visa which are issued by Canadian consulate. They get in because Canadian Government implicitly recognize that they will contribute significantly to Canadian economy. If, for any reason you were to be deported, I doubt your employer will canvass or plead with government. But for these illegal immigrants, their employers fight tooth and nail because they are "Valuable" to them.
my simple and straightforward opinion on the issue is......... if they are illegal, they should be arrested, and deported right away. if the government is not in a postion to do that, or if it doesnt want to do that, stop calling them illegal.
if they can do neither, dont ever claim that u have a fair legal system in place.
on another note, stupid as i may sound, i fail to understand.... recently when there were huge rallies by the "illegal immigrants" in the US, why werent they arrested, if they were "illegal" ???
isnt the legal system supposed to be in place to stop "illegal" activities (and vice versa) ???
