I am here because I am happy here.
Though, my ideal life would be to spend winter in India and rest of the months in Canada. Unfortunately, you cannot do that when you are working and get only 3 weeks vacation.

I came here because I thought that Canada was better than where I was living (the west glitters in the east you know) and I would love it still more than I liked or loved the country I was in. I had the opportunity and the resources, so came here, never thinking I might be doing a wrong thing, or that I was taking a gamble.

Because presently I am in a situation that if I return, I will be spoiling my family life more than what it is today - but soon a time will come that my returning will not matter, or will improve our family life, and then I will go back.
And by the way, I have long stopped taking out my frustration on the net - I have compromised with the situation.

I thought Canada was a free country where a person can voice their opinions???? maybe was mistaken. Can someone let me know whether I have the right???? If you don't like to see/read/hear negative opinions, pls. close ur eyes and ears.
Yes I would love to go back. But there are and can be many reasons for not going back. It's not that I hate Canada, it's a nice beautiful country, but not for a lot of immigrants.

its really not that simple for most people. People apply for many reasons..their dreams, their hopes their wishes to have a different life etc. I see a lot of home sickness here too. Thats understandable. If you spend the majority of your life somewhere it will be 'home' and you may have strong emotions attached to it.
Secondly, Depending on the individuals financial and social situation it may not be as easy or black and white as just 'going back'. Though I realize there can be frustration, its important to look at the solution/problem solving rather than focus on whats wrong. Why? Because it keeps one stuck..physically..mentally..emotionally. Thats not a fun place to be.

Everyone has the right to voice their opinions and express their feelings about their personal situations. Do you mean Canada or on Canadian desi?

That's the problem why the problem exists, because no one really want to focus on the problem. Ever try lifting a pen from ur desk without looking at it. U'll be grasping for it on the whole table even though u know it's there. Look at it, focus on it and u'll make a clean lift.
