What are standard IT salaries in Halifax area..? are there many employers actually hiring or not?
If one is offered 60-70K CAN$ offer in Halifax.. how good/bad is it..?
Life in Halifax seems real laid-back.. any ppl here from Halifax working in IT?
Howz life, economic prospects, number of employers etc??
it seemed very close to portland..

portland, OR? or Portland, Maine? infact Halifax is close to nowhere, but 60-70 k is very upper range of pay if you can get it. It is definitely cheaper to live there.

question is how much one saves.. after taxes etc...
it's not for me.. I have to give analysis to someone I know..

After taxes, i think the take home pay should be approx. 4000 dollars a month, or 2000 per bi-monthly pay check. Regarding savings, it is up to an individual to save as much as he wants if saving is the only goal.
