I agree with Meghal. Tories have proven to be good and should be good in future too. Though I beg to disagree with Meghal's views on oil sands. Oil is very fundamental to our economy. See what has happened now with oil going down entire country's economy is in dumpster. We need and must support oil sands. We should improve our PR about oil. Cheers

The reason why there is a hue and cry against oil sands is the amount of water that is being used to extract oil from the tarsands, which is then rendered useless for human consumption. With water that is supposed to be an expensive commodity in coming years, as population grows, we can sure divert our attention to other energy resources, thereby reducing our reliance on oil.
Not to mention the carbon dioxide emissions and other gases that are released during treatment, processing and consumption of oil and related products

Canada has to live with Oil Sands. Oil Sands only can finance Canada's economy along with natural resources.
IMO, no one care much for water pollution as Canada has lots of water and though the pollution creates dead birds and the like, no one really cares. However, global warming is of a much more serious concern and is directly related to oil sands extraction. This is what makes US weary of us.
