Stephen Harper

1.Has what it takes to lead Canada

2. Ability to get things done;

3. Best to manage during tough economic times;

4. Has a vision of Canada that you can support

You dont want to vote a reckless opposition.

Anyone who followed Ignatieff before he entered politics should not be surprised that he has shown a complete lack of any principles while a politician

He is the most incompetent politician I have ever seen..

Conservatives majority is the need of the hour.

Do you know how Stephen Harper became a PM? He was part of Canadian Reform party which was similar to Bloc Quebec. He always had white supermist agenda. He knew he can not become PM so he lured Peter Mckay (leader of PC) to merge.
You must be better off in tough economic time but I am not because of his policies. There are many like me.

His vision for Canada is reflected here:

for a few reasons:
1. no one knows what the final report contains.
the attorney general already said do not make decisions or judgement based on the draft report.
so let's wait for the final report rather than getting excited

2. second, this is clearly propaganda by the oppostion.
it is no coincidence that the report was leaked 1 day before the debate.

3. third and post important, the G8 summit was not a big waste of money that the opposition is talking about.
yes there were some police atocities and innocent people were arrested, but that was the fault of the Toronto police, Toronto administration (under David Miller) and the provincial authorities led by McGuinty.
As far as the summit is concerned, it was a very important brand building exercise by Canada.
how can anyone say we wasted $1B?
for the first time, canada was in the fore-front of the world.
we hosted the leaders of the most important countries in the world today.
we got the opportunity to show off what a great country we have how strong our economy is etc.
stupid people ruin it by protests and whining about costs.

you wanna talk about wasteful expendite?
ok, let's talk about the e-Health scandal.
how much was that....umm...$1B
let's talk about the sponsorship scandal.
let's talk about the hush money paid to deputy health minister ($750K).
the excesses, corruption and waste of the liberal led federal and provincial governments are uncounted and untold.
and for once a conservative govt. spends $1B on showcasing Canada for the world and all we get are stupid misguided leftists protesting all over the city and people whining about the cost.

really? give me a serious break.

and to answer the question : yes Stephen Harper is doing a great job as Prime Minister and a great ambassador for the country and I will have no hesitation in voting for his party.

Agree with this post
For the following post.... If these are provincial examples and iggy should not pay for it...then who should pay for it?? Dalton is run by liberal..and yes we live in ontario so we care about ontario...Liberal has just fooled immigrant families for years and years but now people know them better i guess.

see you are just subjecting yourself to confirmation bias.
this thing with the email sent to the Arab society was just some stupid campaign recruit who has nothing to do with Stephen Harper and other true leaders.
he is like 50 steps lower in the ladder. most of these dudes are usually 16 year old school kids looking for summer jobs.
who cares about these dudes.
focus on the true issues.
if you go around looking for negative news articles about anybody in the world you will find it.
these days their are websites that say Mahatma Gandhi was a gay, Nehru was a child molestor and what not.
let's focus on the true issues.

the economic recession was not Harper's fault.
he has done the best that can be expected under such circumstances.
yes there is much more to be done and you can't support all causes at all times.
choices have to be made.
look at Obama and the US.
even though Obama is supposed to be such a learned and capable man, he has not managed the US economy well during the recession.
some of the things he did has backfired.

look at Europe and the mess they are in.

we should be hugely thankful we are better off.

you are just buying into this whole liberal left wing personal attacks against Harper as a man.
it's all political hogwash.
the opposition has nothing concrete to use against him so they resort to personal attacks and call him names like autocratic, un-democratic.
notice how he never called any names to any of the other guys and never made personal attacks.

even Layton was doing personal attacks again Ignatieff, but Harper never did.
that is because he has concrete issues on his side.

he is not perfect of course and there are many things in his policies that I do not agree with.
but we have to give him a fair and clear chance.

if for now other reason, then simply for navigating us through the recession, he deserves a full majority and a full 5 year term.
let's give him a full term as majority govt. and see where we are in 2015.
He has said he can balance the budget by then, give him a chance.

the last thing I'd say in this matter is that the things Libs and NDP are proposing are simply not doable without substantial increase in taxes.
they wanna double CPP, double GIS, huge education funding and are saying all nice feel good things.
there is no way they can implement even half of what they are promising.
and even that will require large increases in taxes.
increasing corporate taxes from 16% to 18% will not be enough.
and it will cause more damage.

we are where we are...Harper has had 2 turns as minority PM.
give him a fair and square chance as a full majority leader and see.
after that, if Iggy is still around (I doubt that), you may vote for him.

of course I'm not telling you how to vote, this is just my opinion.
