hi to all,
this is the question in my mind since long as we always say that we came to canada for our child's future but it just an excuse , actually we came here for ourselves.our crase for $$$$$$ .our children never demanded that they want to live in canada - usa but it is our perception that we believe that the only good and good thing for our child if we stay here.
i have seen so many second generation who argue now with their parent regrding coming to canada or us.
it just the way of life where do you live?
where ever you are happy that is your home.
if you are getting good money ,you can buy all the material stuff in India.

Had I been in this situation , here s perhaps what I would have done ......
Let my wife & child continue to become citizens in Canada and myself move back to India for this job - after their citizenship , they can move back to India - this manner PR status can be maintained permanently and an option remains open .

Fido.
This job hunting takes a long time especially if you are by yourself and have no contacts. Make contact with immigrant serving organizations, try mentoring programs. One year is too little time to make a decision. It can be very discouraging but stick it out..husband going to india and wife staying back is not a good option as you are giving up alot.

We, being from so called forward community and Hindu, my kids had little chance of being in to a profession of choice, especially with reservation and all BS.
With fsmily income in six figures many will surmise that we are "Successful" but I do not see that way. The kind of work we do is by all standards of "clerical" category.
Now the at kids have got engineering qualification from very reputed Canadian Universities, worries are that whether they will get good jobs and retsin thhe same. They pursued enigeeniring against my wish , which was to be a CA in Canada and enjoy "rent" under license permit quota system of Canada.Another worry is that they get "right " kind of spouse.

Hi OP....
Although I believe this is the situation where you are the best judge, since you asked for different views/opinions.... here is what I would recommend....
Your husband doesnt have any job in Canada, but do have a good offer in india... it just takes an airfare for him to get that job.... let him buy a ticket, join that job, work for 2 or 3 months and in the mean time decide what is better for him and his family, India or Canada....after 3 months either you join him or he joins you back in Canada......... it is my personal belief that "place" plays a big role in our decision making .....
Cheers !

I suggest, as your husband is Mech.Engg., go to NAIT and do some Power Engg. course. There is still demand in Fort.
