This is how you can win the majority even if more than 60% of voted population does not vote for your party...just divide that 60% into half..
Same old tactics works beautifully every time: Divide and Rule!
With the bimbos in opposition and goons in power this could be one heck of 4 years. Good luck Canada.

Nonsense, a minority government kept Harper in check. Keeps politicians on their toes and prevents them from doing whatever they want out of fear of an election. You can expect the following things as a result, many of them to be passed very soon.
1) Canadian DMCA. New laws may even force ISPs to reveal their customers' identities to RIAA/CRIA/MPAA.
2) Goodbye any hope of net neutrality! No CRTC reform, for sure. Harper loves his Bell and Rogers ex-VPs that sit on the CRTC. Canada will continue to have the most expensive and poorest phone/internet infrastructure in the developed world.
3) More people going to jail for marijuana, wasting taxpayer money
4) Immigration cutbacks. Have to make sure no more dirty desis clog up hospital waiting rooms!
5) Private prisons, along with needless laws that will increase the number of people going to jail. Prison as a place for rehabilitation instead of punishment? Oh you can forget about that. That's not the conservative way!
Very disappointed in Canada today.

Are you SCARED?

3) More people going to jail for marijuana, wasting taxpayer money
- SO do you want to keep them out so they can affect our society and our children?
4) Immigration cutbacks. Have to make sure no more dirty desis clog up hospital waiting rooms!
-ON other hand, we are seeing that there are no jobs, conservative govt wants more educated people then refugee, thats it...

Very disappointed in Canada today. - Just suck it up and enjoy.... we are lucky that liberal or NDP didnt come into power otherwise we would have a big recession...

If you want to do something for our country, just dont support corruption or be part of it
People in Ontario wanted a change. Now one can imagine what will happen to Dalton govt. when they face provincial elections in this year end!!!... People really wanted a change especially in Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville ..the mendate is a nightmare for Liberals. all the 10 seats went to conservatives which were the Liberal stronghold for decades.
Even people have thrown Desi MPs...Only 2 desi MPs were elected instead of 10-12.... This might be because South Asian MPs were not delivering the issues of the riding after elected... It's a time for them to introspect.
Repeating the same:
If you look at the vote share percentage, conservative vote precentage pretty much stayed same..but the non conservative votes got divided amont NDP and Liberal..Liberals were lost due to NDP eating out their votes and vice versa..
Party Vote Share %
Con 39.62%
NDP 30.62%
LIB 18.91%
NDP's sudden rise actually benefitted conservatives and in reality Conservatives just stick to their hardcode supporters...(somewhat congress tactic in India).
So the ones wanted a change neither got the change but now not even a strong opposition either. Harper ki paancho ungaliya ghee me aur Lib ka sar kadhai me. Those who wanted a change..got a "Ghanta" but those who stuck to their ideology came out as winner.
I was analzying the votes of those persons with Islamic sounding names who would finished 2nd or 3rd or 4th across Canada.
The observation is as follows:
Typically the winner gets around 12 to 15,000 votes while the second place person gets around 8 to 10,000 votes and the third person gets around 5 to 6000 votes.
Wherever the white person has won he or she has won due to heavy white turnout and this typically is a higher age group person who will not be there in the next decade as Canadian population is Ageing.
While the second or the third position person of Desi origin, who might be of Islamic origin will definitely have a higher vote bank when the children of his community will reach voting age. With the assumption that they will vote in majority towards a person of his community, I see a future for all those middle eastern or Pakistani Islamic candidates who might have lost today but will resoundingly in the next elections.
I'm NOT so gung-ho on Indian Desis(including Indian muslims) because they are not having more than 2 kids, while people from other locations are having a minimum of 3 to 5 kids. Many of the Islamic candidates themselves have minimum of 3 kids.
The future is BRIGHT.
