In 1993, Liberals took over from Conservative rule of 8 years...a huge deficit plus GST of 7%. In 2006, Harper took over from Liberal rule of 13 years with Surplus in budget. This allowed him to reduce the taxes. It was not his skills or management of economy due to which he was able to reduce taxes. It is commodity driven economy. We export oil but we pay higher rate for gasoline than US.
Economist (not Liberals or NDP) told him not to reduce GST but he did just to get votes....seemingly politcs played like Jaya and DMK nowadays.
$1Bn in G20, Kenny writing to target the immigrant community for votes, Bev lying to parliament and Contempt of Parliament ....wait and watch that he will do when he gets majority. He is a control freak. He is already screwing the immigrants by reducing parents application by 5000 as an example.
I know people (immigrants - new and experienced) still looking for work for a year now. They are well qualified...who says economy is good, yes for Gora Canadians.
Harper floated the coalition idea in 2004 to replace Martin and now he is against it....wow double face man.
Agree with Febpreet & Desi #1.
But chances are Conservatives will come back and I hope they don't get majority.
