I know your kid is O.K. Now go and sit down with the Vice Principal and find out why s/he sent for you and your daughter to have a counsel?
Some times, it could be hearing, just the wax in her ears that could block away the teachers and other students voices from her.
Some timers, it could be eye sight, might just need a set of glasses with which she can see better. That will give her a clear view into the class and the surroundings.
Some times, it could be just a little boost in the morning with a nice breakfast and a little bit of motherly love and a hug, to get her day started. Tell her she will have a nice day.
On her return sit with her and see what it is that she learned there in the class and recap the subject and see if you can let her go over (reminisce) the happenings of the day. See if you can help her recapture and also help with a little homework, after the class hours, after her return.
Also it is nice to find out what it is that they will be doing in the special needs group and who is handling it and see how they go about it. See if you can do it from home and keep her where she is currently and be with the same group she is currently in.
A visit to the school is well worth the trip. A meeting will tell you why and what it is.Also while you are there learn from them how to go about it.
Freddie.
