From the posts, it appears that if i were to apply for my baby's sponsorship after lets say 3 months of continuos presence in Canada, and show them salary data for those 3 months, then maybe i could get the sponsorship apporved - right?!
Past years pay data from another country might not be of any help
Btw, Any idea how long it takes to get the sponsorship process done ? CIC site says - about one month, massodji gives 3- 6 months.. can we safely assume that 6 months would be enough if there are no complications?
thanks for your thoughts & inputs!

Guess if thats the time involved than there will be a issue for the Health Insurance. Secondly leaving the discretion to the embassy keeps the matter open and dicey...what happens incase the embassy refuses a temporary visa
Hello everyone,
I am in a similar situation. I am a PR currently work in Bahrain, and planning to move permanently to Toronto.
When I applied for Temporary Visit visa for my son, it was rejected. The Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi wants me to prove that both parents are actually moving to canada. They will not issue Visit visa for my son, unless we cancel the residency visa for Bahrain. Also, the issue of Visit visa will take 3 - 4 weeks (as it required medical to be done)
The Canadain Embassy needs the following documents;
a) Copy of resignation Letter b) Copy of acceptance letter c) Copy of One Way ticket d) Copy of Bill of Lading e) Passport copies hosiwng canceled vosa e) Letter from Compnay that all visas have been cancelled f) Copy of Final Settlement g) Copy of Bank Statement indicationg Bank account closure.
I hope this information will be helpful for people working in Middle East
Cheers,
