Have you actually attended any Canadian University or seen any Good Canadian High School? The western educational system - in general - is based on self study / self motivation and interest (Unlike desi system of teaching/hand holding, memorizing, etc). Students who are good and who are interested in pursuing their academic goals do succeed. Rest of the class drops out. The curriculum of these High Schools is not as bad as what you have described.

If we do not talk about Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc. we can still talk about Univ of Toronto, McGill, UBC, Waterloo and so on. I have seen students from some of these schools and they are excellent. Even the Canadian universities that are not ranked (not the top schools) are good - far better than the private colleges in India that produce low quality graduates.

About "sending" your kids to IITs and IIMs...These schools are only for the top students in India (what we call as the "cream" ) - Their entrance exam is not the selection test, but it is actually the elimination test. So, "sending" your kids to these school is like "sending" you kids to MIT / Stanford.

In Canada, you do not have to fall in this "super good" category to succeed. If your kids go to any decent college, their success rate will be higher. That's what Indian parents think of when they think of their kid's education when they come to Canada.

Universities in Canada are a joke. When I attended some courses in a good university in Canada, both the professors and students in my classes were a bunch of tools.

Whatever I learned in Grade 11 & Grade 12 in India, these morons in Canada were teaching in First year university and the white Kids were still struggling..lol. I used to finish at the top of my class without studying, because Indian education was much better !

I wasted my time & money on these courses as I learnt nothing at the end of the day, even though my grades were very good. The dumb white kids used to copy assignments from Indian & Chinese kids.

The racist White professors still used to favour the White kids & the white kids used to get better jobs upon graduation in spite of the poor grades.

The racism & discrimination starts from schools, colleges, all the way up to employment.

I used to see poor Indian & Chinese students, whose parents had spent their life savings to send them to these stupid racist universities. I used to feel sorry for them. Most of them would return home penniless & broken, as they wouldn't get jobs or work permit upon graduation. No employers would hire them, those jobs were reserved for the White kids.

Education is another big scam in Canada in addition to immigration. Most of these immigrant students are looted by the colleges/universities & upon graduation get no jobs.
