CBC is going to show the documentary INDIA'S DAUGHTER on this sunday...
The FB post on CBC about the schedule has so many embarrassing comments directed towards India.
Feeling ashamed myself of reading such views towards whole Indian community, just because of some morons in India decided to do a rape & then some other moron decided to make documentary to show the whole world

It's simple. No one will give permission without money exchanging hands. So, how much BBC paid, to whom and when. The govt does not have the guts to go into this.
Let us see the main issue of not meting out stiff and swift punishment for the perpetrators of the crime.
Public memory being what it is, we have totally forgotten how the whole od Delhi was brought to a standstill for weeks together demanding justice for the victim.
Only because of this delay, BBC could go into the prison to meet the accused and all sorts of views are aired by their friends and well wishers.

Leslee Udwin got all the required permissions from Government of India, Home Ministry, Tihar Jail and consent from the accused. If Government of India did not want the documentary to be made, they could have stopped it before it was made by not giving permission. What is the point of banning after the documentary is made and now chasing BBC in court ?

Agree that money changed hands. It is not easy to get govt. approval without bribe money.
Remember the 2 fishermen that were shot by the italians in the high sea. The Italian govt. had bribed the family of the 2 fishermen (by giving them a crore and promising to take care of the education of their children) and the family of the 2 fishermen withdrew their cases against the italians. Hoever the Govt. of Kerala has refused to withdraw its case and the 2 italian are still in India waiting for the indian courts to decide justice.

As expected the -ve publicity the Nirbhaya case and documentaries generated have repercussions like the one where a German Professor had denied internship to an Indian male student because of 'rape problem'.
Luckily the German envoy had come to the rescue by strongly writing to the Professor who in turn has apologized.
Ref news item 'India not a country of rapists:envoy', The Hindu dated 10.03.15. It is unfortunate states like Bihar too are victims of bad media coverage.

When Sonia or Rahul take credit for achievements if any by UPA, why not responsibility for the permission granted for interview. There is a Nehru bhajan coterie of economists/intellectuals/historians around Congress who deride India and look up to Europe and West for everything.
