Sundays have Monday Sydrome! Most of the functions are usually done on Saturdays.

2. We just let everyone know the place and time and ask everyone to come with sufficient food, drinks for themselves and one more family ...say in all everyone brings food for 8 people

I would suggest a small change here: Instead of bringing food for 8 persons, everybody should bring enough food for their own family plus one sweet or snacks (Gulabjambun, Khaman, Rasgulla... etc) item for 25 persons. That will add variety for the food and also there is no wastage.

I will not bring anything :D

I agree good idea GG,

looking at the numbers here if assuming 20 families show up
Each family brings food drinks for themselves and Gulabjamuns, roshgullas, snacks for 25. we will have plenty of sweets and snacks ...look like even i wont bring my food :D

We also might need to coordinate games for families .

Tambola and other family activities.

....more thought later from home.

I agree w/GG - Bluffer's Park is a very good loc. Lots to do (e.g sit by the water edge reading, strolling, ...etc.) versus a park, where you can't do anything else.

Yes, also let's do the pot luck thing, and if we can decide ahead as to the dish we will be bringing, then we can write the name of the dish on a small chit and stick it in front of the dish, so everyone knows what we are eating (some will be veg. or some don't eat beef, pork....etc). Besides, if we decide what we are bringing, we will not have 4 families bringing khaman dhoklas......:D what I mean is repeating dishes.

Also, how about playing Bingo?

We should play Antakshari - men vs women

During the AM, when cricket is being played, perhaps the women (& this is just a suggestion, I don't want to start any dishum dishum here) can organize activities - any suggestions??
