Later when I started, internet could not be conencted. I called tech and they confirmed there is no issue with my internet but they said it was an issue with my browser.
I am not sure what caused it but what I did in my first session on net was deleted few shortcut icons from start up. Computer was taking long time to start so I thought may be lot of programs start during start up, so let me delete few....I went to start button on bottom left, then programs, then start up and deleted few shortcuts ........can not remember all but Adobe, picture package etc.
Could this be reason ? If so, how to fix it ? If not, what else can be reason and how to fix it ?
Thankyou for your suggestions.

Hi
if you call up your Internet Provider and nothing wrong at thier place means your connectivity is good at thier side.
you might have deleted some file which may be a cause of the problem..
If you kindly give us more details about your computer and how it happens it will be easlier for us to understand.
like What OS
Are you using Wireless or Regular LAN modem ?
do u have any Anti virus installed ?
Any other security programs ( such as ad-aware etc..)
you can also specify the step you have followed with your ISP with tech support
and please explain details information about how problem started.

I don't see this as a big problem. Try what Pratick has suggested and post 'Error Message'.

Disable anti-virus and firewall.
Try connecting through Yahoo Messenger - if that succeeds, then it's probably your browser.
What are the settings on your browser?
Is it working offline?
Is it configured to use a proxy server that it can't find?
What is the error message you are getting?

Mumbai Maazi Ladki ...
This is a 'known behaviour' for the online protection from Norton which Rogers gives to all internet customers. All of a sudden, it will block some or the other browser's access. Even re-installing won't help. Either will need to do some reg updates or better still, just get rid of the Norton online protection program.
We have AVG 8. antivirus.

Tried this too : says can not restore as no changes were made !!!
You may try "System Restore" ....
All it does is takes your computer to the previous date... so if restore your computer to your latest "Restore point" (e.g day before yesterday), you will lose anything you did on your computer since then...
