RBO,
You forgot :

11. All credit card statement accounts that you have + all the letters from professional bodies that you belonged to / friends / relatives...

An interesting aspect in the above is that when I moved a year ago, I took the post office forwarding services for a period of 6 months. At the end of 6 months some credit card statements changed to me new address without me even calling them up to change it. It is only some while the rest still go to the old address.
Examples of the Credit card companies that updated my address withou me informing them are :
PC FInancial.
Royal Bank Visa
and
Citi bank visa.

On the main note, I agree with the OP that it is a very tedious process and such an (so called) advanced country as Canada should sort of have a one stop address changing mechanism.
Based on the note that I had mentioned above, may be Canada post should directly notify my change of address to the companies/firms that I subscribe to for a small fee.

Peace

roughly $ 60 for the service ..This service will facilitate forwarding all your incoming mails to the new address for 06 months .
You are still OBLIGED to change the address where ever you are registered .
