I didn't get any response from any friend. PLaese help me. Plaese please.
I sponsored my husband first time in 2006 June. I am permanent resident of Canada. At that time I was in Dhaka. I used Toronto mailing address of my relatives. Visa office made phone call to verify whether I am residing in Ontario or not. My relative told to immigration officer that I am out of Canada. Consequently, they refused to issue visa.

Again, I applied on 4th of May 2007 as new application.
Missisagua received file on 8 th of May 2007.
They passes to Singapore and we got possitive response from CIC-M.

Singapore received on 28 th June and inform on 16 th July they will take interview of my husband.

Do you have any idea how long they will take to schedule interview.
I am too frustrated and it is very tough for me to staying alone here.

Ho long I have to wait? Already 4 months passed after my applying.

Please help me. Friend please advice me.

Hi pain,
You sponsored your husband in June of 2006. You then left Canada. Your movements have been tracked by the Immigration department and now you do know that they have means of verifying the whereabouts of a sponsor and also know where exactly you are at any point in time.

You are currently a PR living in Toronto. This is your second application to the Immigration department in Mississauga. You know that it takes four good days for them to receive and respond to the second application.

It took fifty days for the physical transfer of papers from Mississauga to Singapore.

It took just 18 days to receive their response letter with their intent of scheduling an interview. It will like wise take the same number of days for a letter to reach your husband with a date and time for a letter from them.
Please make sure that he keeps up that appointment and answers all of the questions, such as your full name, social insurance number, place that you work, an address where you could be reached, a telephone number, names of the relatives and the closeness of the relationship, and take with him any all of the pictures that you had together, any letters and corespondence from you to him and any item of significance to convince the officer who is interviewing him all of the bonafides and substantiate and verify his inquiries. He has to take all of his personal ID's and educational qualifications etc., etc., It will be your responsibility to prepare him for the interview from today onwards till he succeeds in the same.

After all of these gruelling procedures and long waits, he will get his passport stamped and/or will be issued with a confirmation of PR for him to proceed further. After which he can make proper travel arrangements and get to travel and arrive at your location here in Canada.

So, be patient and have some faith in the system. Do your daily prayers and keep yourself occupied with work and other activities and be of help to the relatives and prepare for his arrival. However long it takes, it is worth the wait. Your patience will be rewarded.

May God be with you in these times of trials and tribulations. Take one day at a time. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Good Luck.

Freddie.

pain,
The best advice you got here is "Owe Allegiance to Canada" and "Obey the Laws".

Your husband knows exactly what the Immigration Officer has asked him to do in their letter of scheduled interview. Follow the same to the word. Read a couple of times over and delve deeper into it. That will be the best thing that both of you can do.

You don't have to sweat bullets waiting for Freddie's letter. Here it is, just for you.

FIRST ITEM is: Don't you think that your Husband's Immigration Interview is on the 12th of February 2008, which is in the next year?

It will be nice to keep your cool and take a deep breath and go slowly and in detail. That way you can re-enact your life one frame at a time and bring out some of the facts and you put it to paper one detail at a time and return and refill each of the detail if you remember some additional material as time unfolds.

These are only TIPS and not an advice so be guided accordingly. You have gone through the Interview process yourself once and you will be the best person to tell him precisely how to go about it, unless they waived it in your case. So, coach him to the best of your ability with the preparations that you made.

1) FIRST MEETING:
Wher did you meet with him first. The location and if there were any friends and family who were present at that time. Write down all of the details, such as the date, time, names and the addresses, phone numbers if any. Did you take any pictures, do you have any? and start an album and stick a picture in it with a caption "OUR FIRST MEETING". Write down the names of the people in the picture. Did you both talk over the phone after that. Were there any costs incurred for the phone calls, is there such a record from the phone cpmpany at the other end? ALSO start an ALBUM.

Did you both get to gether after that and plan your future together, before you both decided to TIE THE KNOT? if so where? and the locations, if you remember.

2) ENGAGEMENT:
Did you both perform a ceremony or have a party for the engagement? If so at what location and the number of people who attended. The names and addresses of the people and the phone numbers if any? Who paid for it and the bills, the credit card slips if any. Any photographs taken on that occasion? Do you know the names of the people and their addresses and their phone numbers? Did you get to gether often after that. If so, at what loction and if any pictures were taken by others for you. Any phone bills to substantiate your conversations after that day? Open a FILE. Put pictures in the album.

3) WEDDING INVITATIONS:
How many were printed? How many were mailed out? Do you have a mailing list? Who paid for all of this? Any Bills or invoices associated with this item. How many responded. Do you have a copy left over. Put it in the Album. Add one to the files.

4) MARRIAGE:
Where was the marriage ceremony conducted? How many attended the ceremony. Do you have a guest list? Were there any pictures taken at that time? Were there others with you in those pictures? If you know them, do you have an address and phone number for them? Was there a religious head and do you know the name? Get all of the pictures into the album and the papers into the file. If any gifts were received, do you have a list and the name of the donor. DID YOU GET A MARRIAGE LICENCE SOON AFTER THAT. That is a proof for the future. Get a photocopy to the files and one for the album.

5) TRAVELS:
Did you both travel after the wedding? Where all did you go and the names of the locations and the places you both stayed at. Any pictures that were taken at different locations for your memories. Any other people that went with you and their pictures. The bills, statements, and the credit card receipts if you have any? Put the pictures in the album and the papers in the file.

6) DEPARTURE FROM BANGLADESH:(Your Native Country)
When did you leave and from which airport. Who were all there? Did you say farewell to them? Were there any pictures taken at the airport? Put them in the album, with date and time and the airline ticket.

7) PHONE CONVERSATIONS, CHATS, PAID CALLING CARDS, e-MAILS,& LETTERS...
This is what they are asking you for, from your husband and the information that you provided to us here. Get all of the e-mails printed. The chats if you have them in your files and get them printed. The letters that YOU rceived, please send them back to him for the interview. Phone bills so far that he has maintained and the ones that you have on you. If pre paid cards were used to call, the list of expired cards with numbers and pin that go with it.
If there is a long gap in the communication with him from you, mention that there was bad weather on such occasions and the lines were BAD. You did try a few times, but gave up.
Bell system permits the usage of 10-10 system and the bills are charged through them and Bell does provide you with a detailed billing with time and date. See who is cheap in the 10 -10 system and use their services for the next three months and the money that you will spend will be well worth the immigration hassles and you will benefit immensely by these bills.
You have three months or there about and write as many notes and letters and keep track of the same and print them. Also, write letters and post them for him to take for the Interview. Make the replies he sends to you available to him, if there is a way to send them by fax.

ALL OF THESE ITEMS ARE FOR YOUR HUSBAND TO DO AND ACCOMPLISH IN THE COURSE OF THE NEXT TWO MONTHS AND YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE HIM WITH A SET OF VIVID DETAILS AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE.

Now comes the hard part. Why did you not file for Immigration papers for your husband after your marriage? Why did you file it from here in Canada? Then abandon it?
Why did you return back to Bangladesh? Why did you wait so long to file it the second time? Why didn't you get get all of the items completed for him at that end while you were there. Did you not know the procedures before, as you have gone through it once for yourself?
Are you employed? if so, have you planned for his arrival and settlement, since you are here ahed of him. Have you prepared a budget. Can you both survive on that budget. If so, provide the same to him for him to present it to the Immigration Officer.
Do you know his qualifications? Are there employers who will hire him upon arrival here? If so, can you get a letter from them. That will help him get started here soon after his arrival. Any other alternate emplyment that you can get him today, and can you get a letter from them today. If so, mail the ORIGINAL to him before the interview. That will give him the needed advantage to get through.

If I come upon any more TIPS I will surely post them here for you and others to follow.

You do not have to respond to us here. But have GOOD Answers to these when he goes for his interview. That is your job to do and your turn to coach him for all of these items. YOU don't fail him now. You are the one with all of the Correct answers.

GET CRACKING.

Good luck.

Freddie.
