Well my knowledge is limited to the extend that my company has a branch office there and I keep hearing things from the branch manager. Though Indian population is limited but the branch manager (an Indian) loves it over there. And according to him finding a job is not too big a problem. Thats why I thought of starting this post since the city offers job opportunities and at the same time it is a good place to live. Like MR, we may have more people to share information. Afterall, it is important to explore new places and share information.

About 60,000 plus desi population. A huge population of Punjabi and Gujarati live in Winnipeg. I was there for 3 months but moved for a better opportunity to a very small City in ON. However did not experience any discomfort or isolation in Winnipeg. South part of Winnipeg is very beautiful and upscale area. Property is not cheap but not expensive too compare to 4 major center of Canada. You get all kind of food in Winnepeg. It has a large population of west Indians too if you enjoy Roti. It is becoming a hub for Pharmaceutica companies. Well not to forget, Boeing has a big facility in Winnipeg. If I am not wrong Ranbaxy is investing in a big unit at Winnipeg.

I am wrong , you can’t be lonely in N.America if you have Dish Network, with all the Indian channels in your living room
