Have two options for the degree
- MBA from UK. Have admits from top universities.
- Do a degree from India at much lesser cost but that would be a degree with less recognition and taught value.

That's fine. But you still have to support your baby until he/she is independant. You need a stable financial inflow for that. If you have nothing such as when I immigrated with $3000 and spent $3000 on first semester tuition, then anything would look great. But, for you, with a decent business, you'll end up finding life is not all that smooth sailing. I can't comment on your personality, but very few adapt easily to the new environment at 40 or beyond (I know I am generalizing and I could be wrong).

By the way, what is the rare skill you have in mind?

The poster is actually asking for suggestions on the 'rare' skills he could acquire.

SAP perhaps ?

Ok, got it. I am not in IT, so can't recommend any.

Thanks for your insight. Appreciated. Regarding the rare skill only an IT industry guy in Canada would know. Hence my post.

I was thinking of doing an MBA from a top UK university and then a SAP Consultant course from India. The combination would be a rare skill? Not sure.

Perhaps it would be better if someone from the IT industry out there suggests a stream first (Business Analyst, Application Development Manager, Operations / IT Manager etc.) based on my profile. Then I can find a rare skill to acquire for that stream.

How come SAP is a rare skill when hundreds of people do it and consulting firms and some private organisations are full of them?

Or Rare is an abbreviation in IT language???

My company is looking for a very experienced Reliability Engineer. This is a demand skill, if not rare, due to the fact not many people have the experience. However, education alone will not get you this job.
