Thanks guys.

Sauble Beach looks interesting, but it is on Lake Huron. Dont know how big the waves are. Itching to watch and play in the waves. It's been decades I should say that I have done.

Anything on the ocean in the East Coast, such as Halifax?

If it is high waves that you are looking for, look no further than the Bay of Fundy, NB.
A 45 ft. tide has to be seen to be believed.

There are beaches, yeah, and then there are beaches !

NB has a lot of other things to offer as well.

From Ottawa, you can either fly or take a scenic driving tour through most of Quebec.

You can combine NS and PEI in the same trip as well (plan for at least 2 weeks in that case).

I agree that Bay of Fundy, more so the Hopewell rocks near Moncton are wonderful if you want to see the rough sea's.

For more calmer sea's visit PEI not far from Moncton and I can gaurantee you the beaches are just wonderful and pristine. (North Cape, PEI).

Try for more info.

Also on the west coast you may want to try the beaches off the coast of BC.
I perticularly liked the East Sooke and Tofino.
