Hi there,

I'll be visiting Niagara Falls, Burlington and Toronto over July 4th weekend. I have heard a lot about dhabas in Canada. Can someone please suggest me some good eateries near to these 3 where I can find very nice North Indian and/or South Indian food. Also please suggest a couple of dhabas nearby.

Thanks much!!!

For South Indian Food, I would certainly recommend Hotel Saravana Bhavan (905) 290 - 0769, at Hurantario and Eglinton, Mississauga, For North Indian food Brar sweets at Dundas and Mavis is good. The first one is a little expensive, and has a lunch buffet on the weekends, Brar sweets has a buffet (lunch and dinner) on all days. A wait of 15 to 45 minutes may be required.

Good luck with your trip.

I've tried both places, and would highly recommend both. One thing to keep in mind is both places are pure veg. You could avoid the wait at Brar by making a reservation, else it's a good 45min to 1hr wait.

One could take out from Brar. I have done it number of times. I love their food and they do give more than I can eat.

God bless Brar

There new branch...i believe in "Brampton" is much better. I know people who go there in lunch buffet just to eat chat papri and pani poori and dessert (lots of items in dessert), meaning they skip actual lunch (veg, rice n naan).

Madras Dosa Hut "BAD" BAD" BAD"
I just had a really Bad experince in Madras Dosa Hut. Me and wife went for dinner first time we ordered Vada Sambhar/ Masala Dosa /Uttapam.

Vada in sambhar was cold, just out of freezer/Masala Dosa was burned and Uttapam was smelling egg, we just made aware server that it smell egg...they responded carelessly we cook seperate...we just tried a bite or two...but It was horrible..couldn't take it...It was the worst food we ever had..

Not to cause any trouble for server we paid first as a customer.. and than asked for manager...server connected to owner Logeswary Kubendran...the manner he talk is, Instead of being sorry or kind..he said well you can get another dosa....we told no.. we can't take it our mood is all spoiled. He never offered for refund or said sorry...

I would like to compaint in better business bureau...any one can direct me how to go about it
