Recently, this year only, I became an active user of this forum, just came across this while looking for some information about students. There is a good discussion abt universities here, which forced me to spam the CD forums at jet speed. I hope, moderators didnt mind

I got the info. (about CD) from an Infosys guy who was at my bank on a short assignment. He mentioned he found temp. accomodation thru CD. That's how I found about CD. This is around ... Fall of 2004.

Since then I've spread the light around.....

I came to know about this site sometime early 2003 through one of my ex-collegues who had landed in Toronto and was looking for some jobs.

He was very well settled within two months - and (perhaps therefore) does not visit CD since mid 2003

I came to know about CD when i did a google search on Satellite for Desi Channels..

I was unfortunate to know about this site just few days before i happen to land in Canada.

I would have otherwise thought twice before quitting my good job and coming over here.

But i am still surprised as i used to search such desi sites in Canada but it did not pop up in google properly. I got idea about this site from other desi who was also migrating to canada.

I came to know of this site in Sep 2003, while I was driving from Brampton to Mississauga, I think on the Mclaughlin, if I am not forgetting the road name.
There was a small yellow board on a pole, saying canadiandesi was looking for help.
I ignored it at that time as I was extremely busy, and I had no programming experience either, but somehow remembered again in May 2004. Thats when i joined the website.
I think the site had only 3000 registered members, and much less content, a year ago.
