This time there was no question asked except which place you wanna stay in US.
I have done my evaluation from University of Toronto.
They didn't asked me anything about the property in Canada, but I am scared that in that case the tax rate is higher than if you have no property in Canada.
I went to the Lewingston Border.
I also have a Car financed with Honada Canada, which I am thinking to pay off and take with me, any idea what sort of documentation required, for the brand new car to import in US?
thanks

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
Just take a peak at ccra website, and it tells everything.
If you have a family / property and you are living aboard you become DEEMED citizens and tax ratio is high.
If you have no property/Family in Canada you become (emigrants) for tax purpose and tax ratio is low.
Also what sort of documents you bring with you when you import your car from Canada.
I have a Honda Civic 2004

We will find a way or we will make one
Hi,
I think this thread has been very informative and helpful to me.
A quick question in this connection.
1) Person A has a TN1 visa.
2) Is the family given any kind of visa to accompany the indivisual to US?.
3) if the family decides to stay back and agreed that the IT rate would be high for the indivisual, but is he allowed to go to Canada and come back to US easily in terms of visa checking at US border or is it just like any other visa stamping on your passport which you can flash and move on?

....
1. OK
2. yes family/dependents get TD visa stamped.
3. it depends to the family that if they want to live in US they can have TD visa and live in USA(they will not allowed to work). if they choose not to live in US they can still have TD which helps them to travel frequently to US, but my recommendation is if family don't want to live in USA don't get TD for them, as a Canadian citizen they can always travel between borders.
Another thing they called NEXUS
Individuals may qualify to participate in NEXUS if they are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
It has special driving lanes, so you will not have to wait in the line at the border.
and if you get NEXUS approved then you can
Use NEXUS-dedicated lanes in the United States and Canada; and
Cross the border without routine customs and immigration questioning.
