I applied for PR through London office and received AOR in June 2004. Now we have a new member in my family as my wife gave birth to a new baby body in Jan 2005. I want to include him in our PR application which is under process with the CHC London.
Can you please help me on this matter?
1) Which application form I have to use and how to go about this?
2) Is it be better if we wait to hear from the CHC on our pending application and add him in the process then?
3) If I send new set of documents requesting them to add my son in the process now, is it going to delay my PR process in any manner?
I will appreciate your reply.

Hi esmailp,
First of all congratulations on the new arrival in your family. We had undergone a similar experience during our PR process hence what I am saying below is from my own experience.
First, get your baby's birth certificate, passport and SSN (or UK equivalent). Birth Certificate and PP are required, so apply for them immediately.
Once you receive these documents, send a letter to CHC referencing your application# and informing them of the new addition in your family. I am providing below the letter I sent to the consulate (with personal details blanked out).
Include the babys passport, birth certificate, processing fee for dependant (in the US its $110 USD) and four photographs of the baby in the format required.
CHC will add the baby to your petition and send you medical papers for the entire family including new baby.
In our case our status was almost approved when we were expecting; our medicals were expiring (so they increased the validity since my wife couldnt undergo new medicals when expecting). The Consulate rang us up to inform us that our petitions have been approved if we can land in Canada before the medical expiration date. We said we couldnt as it was not safe to travel at such an advanced state of pregnancy.
Then after the baby was born, we got her birth certificate (2 months) and Passport (2 weeks) and we added her to our petition and did our medicals again for the entire family (our medicals had lapsed by the time, even with the extended validity), we got our approval for the entire family incl baby less than three months after we did the medicals.
------------Format of letter I sent (please use your own format)---------
I would like to take this opportunity to inform your office that we have been recently blessed with a baby girl. My wife gave birth to a baby girl, -------------- on ------ and we have recently received her birth certificate and US Passport.
I would like to provide your office with the following documents:

* Copy of US Passport
As our medicals expire on -------, kindly forward medical forms for our entire family to the address specified below:
Current mailing address:-----
If the above should pose any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
I reiterate here my desire and commitment to migrate to Canada as soon as my application is approved and I thank you in advance for your kind co-operation as we remain,
Hi Canadian Dream,
Thank you very much for your prompt response. You have explained it well and it is very informative. (In between, I live in Dubai, UAE not in UK).
I already got birth certificate and got it attested by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (as required by Indian Conciliate in Dubai to process for the Passport). Now my baby’s passport is under process and I will receive it on 15th Jan.
One more Q, if you don’t mind. Is it ok if I fill out CIC form IMM0008 again to include my baby in it and send to them?
On a second thought, I think I should do the same as what you did and avoid sending extra paper which may not be needed for the process. Please comment.
I failed to see anything related to this on the CIC website. May be I did not spend enough time on the net looking for information on this.
