Where to apply for immigration

Hi,
Can somebody let me know can I apply for immigration while I am in Canada on work permit, if yes where would I need to submit my forms..whether it's Toronto or Bufflalo

I am in Toronto.

That would be Buffalo.

You have a choice between Buffalo and the Canadian embassy in your country of residence.

If you choose Buffalo, you have to be aware that you may be called for an interview. So, make sure you have a multiple entry visa for USA first. Failure to attend interview may result in your case being refused.

Thanks for the info!

I have multiple entry Visa for US as well.How much time would it take to get a response from Buffalo office and In case I have to go back to india after my work-permit expires(and before I get any response from them), Do I need to come to US for interview or can it be shifted to india in that case? and would I have to come twice once for medical and 2nd time for interview?

- VERY UNLIKELY YOUR CASE WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO INDIA. YOU'LL HAVE TO FLY BACK TO USA.

- NO, YOU CAN HAVE YOUR MEDICALS DONE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

Hi,
Thanks for the info !
I am on work permit So do I still need to show the proof of funds(if yes,would my bank-statement will do?)

I am currently on client-site in Canada while my parent company is not in Canada.So My work permit has the name of the client.
So do I need to attach the appointment letter of the parent company or just the photocopy of Work permit will solve the purpose?

No funds.

Disclose appointment letter with an explanation if you think embassy might get confused.
