Medicals were completed Eight months back but still not received Landing Paper

Dear Mr .Massood,
During this week two of my friends received landing papers who has completed medicals during Oct '2004 / Nov ' 2004 ,submitted their Passport during Dec'2004. .Where as we about four people who has completed our medicals May 2004 / June 2004 /July 2004 ,submitted our passports in Aug' 2004 yet to receive the landing papers. I could not understand the reasons for such delay. In my case seven months over from the date of medicals, five months over from the date submission of Passport. I would like to go CHC in person to know about my status. Is it allowed ? Waiting for your advice.

You can try but in my experience nothing will come out of it. Different officers works at different pace. There are many reasons why you are still waiting. A little more patience is the order of the day.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.
Now I have only five months time as we have completed our medicals in July 2004. Within this time on receipt of landing papers only I can give my resignation notice to my present employer, that too 3 months notice period is the condition. I am really in a fix. Even after seven months from the date of medicals the landing papers not yet received. Given two reminders also to CHC.At this juncture is there any other way to communicte to the concerned officials to highlight my problems and request for early realse of my landing papers.

I wish to inform you that I received my Visa with Landing papers on 14th Feb 2005. Thank you very much for your kind advise and moral support .
