Strictly follow their rules and you will be fine. Like luggage weight, what you can carry not carry etc.
Don't take things personally, if you meet some rude arrogant staff & don't argue with them.
Its just a 17 - 18 hr flight, which takes you to your destination
Canada & India is important - Point A to Point B- not some airline or airport in between.

as per Wikipedia --oman air do not fly to Toronto---unless some code share arrangement with other airline.
may be some risk involved when you fly with individuals who admire Medieval culture--so take your chances or decide if saving few dollars really that important ? all your choice --good Luck
Don't know about Oman air Yyz Muscat.
But Oman is a fine place. Better than Uae too other than buildings.Omanis are nice people. People don't know here what they are talking about
