Carleton University is in Ottawa its not a bad university. Country's capital.

Lakehead is in Thunder Bay (ON), which is a BS university & BS City. Middle of nowhere with bone chilling temperatures.

Royal Roads University is in BC, another Bull Shit university.

Prospects for MBA are next to nothing in Canada. Plus as an international student you will be paying 3 times that of local students. Nice scam :)

Go to US or UK for your MBA, not Canada. Heck even India has much better MBA colleges & Universities than Canada. Don't waste your money here.

If you have good academics and know your stuff, coupled with the recommendation letters from the Employers, Professors, then I would recommend you to apply on your own ONLY to the top Canadian Universities. The ones, such as UofT, UBC, SFU, etc. Here's the latest ranking:

http://www.macleans.ca/education/unirankings/best-business-universities-in-canada-2017-ranking/

The ones you listed are mostly second/third rung universities. Though, still better than the Indian ones, the curriculum and reputation is not near or at par with the top of the line (UT, UBC, UVic).

MBA in Canada or USA is very expensive even for local students. I am talking good universities. Not street corner colleges with a diploma.
You also have to pay international fee if you are coming as a student.
If you are coming as a PR, then you can exlore as the fee is cheap

The link of McLeans posted by fellow desi tells the correct story.

I agree. This should be the right way:

1. Immigrate as PR.
2. Find a full time work in own field.
3. Gain experience of 2 years or more. While at it, try to work through any Lead/Supervisory role if possible.
4. Enroll in Executive MBA or the Part time MBA (at this stage, even an MBA from a second rung Public University would do).
5. Complete it, then apply for the Managerial positions. Of-course, that depends upon your aptitude, personality, communication, presentation, and Networking skills.

Good luck!

51 Scholarships allocated to Students.. Please see them here and as listed.

Some tips on how to go about it..:

You have four choices. I will take the next two.

For those looking for an MBA degree immediately after graduation, studying in India is the only option as all premier B-schools across the globe require the potential candidates to have some work experience. The premier B-Schools in India are more open to accepting freshers. IIM-Ahmedabad’s batch of 2013-15 had one-third freshers. Others who are willing to wait a few years, try and get placed after B.Tech and work for three to four years to ultimately apply at some premier international B-school. They manage to get the crucial work experience, plus the savings from the job help in self funding their further studies.

Three Year undergrad is the norm for non-north Americans, hence if you went to school in France your degree is going to be three years. Technically it is the norm in Canada too, only an honours degree is 4 years, and you usually need an honours degree to go to grad school, but it is really just a ploy for universities to milk students for money. Only if you have an "A" average, can you do the MBA w/o work experience at a few of the Universities.

Students will have to shell out anywhere from CAN $12,000 (nearly 6,35,000 INR) to CAN $35,000 (nearly 18,50,000 INR) for undergraduate programmes, and from CAN$10,000 (nearly 5,30,000INR) to CAN$39,000 (nearly 20,70,000INR)for postgraduate programmes per year.

The private universities are financed only from tuition fees and therefore these are much higher. It is possible, that students have to pay up to 20.000 Euros per year. Since the abolishment of tuition fees in all of Germany in October 2014, there is only a symbolic fee called the semester contribution left to be paid.

Just my thoughts. But plan well, prepare well, learn a few languages to get started and then move.

Good Luck.

FH.
