Hello Experts,
I came to study in Canada and currently on post-grad. work permit. I am thinking to order CAIPS notes, so can anyone tell me how to order it without agent?
And is it good to order CAIPS notes before i file my immigration. I just want to see what info. is there in imm. database, so i should match that info. whenever i put my immigration file. Is it a good idea?

CAIPS notes in the Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System.
After you file for immigration and after the initial assessment is done, you can request it if you want to know the reason for interview etc.

all the info is there including who can request the information and where the request should be sent to... it costs C$5... i would still recommend going through a professional service though if you dont know anyone who is a canadian citizen or permanent resident or you dont want them to know whats going on with your application....

if you have not filed yet then your caips will not exist so how can you want to match the info thats there? do you mean to ask is you want to match the info you gave for your study/work permit application? why?

Yeah, i want to match the info I gave for your study/work permit application just because i don't want to mis-match anything, in case if i miss something from my mind.
Is it good to do? What's your suggestion is?

caips will not have the info you put on the form (well... not all of it anyway)... it will have the visa office evaluation of your application... if what you want to make sure is that you put on ur pr application what you put on ur student application then caips will not help you there... what will help you probably is copies of the forms you submitted for the student app....
although the info on the student app is not exaustive.. i doubt you would forget something because that stuff is pretty basic...

I understand what you are saying, what i am concerned about is my interview about student visa. Meaning my interview was 40 minutes long and the person who was interviewing me was typing everything in their system. And that's the reason i want to order CAIPS notes, so i can know what info. they have in their database.
Nuttin much from that. So how do u think on this?

in that case, you may want to get an extract of FOSS as well (field office support system - its used by overseas visa posts for holding additional information)... same form and to be sent to the same place as above...
